We, as members of the Sora content creator community, need to expose a serious threat to our platform: deceptive accounts like Sora2L that impersonate official roles, cheat the system, and antagonize fellow creators.
We've seen this account, for example:
- × Misusing Sora's logo and branding to fake an official affiliation, tricking users into believing they're endorsed by Sora
- × Posing as part of the "Official Sora Creator Team" and as Sora's public spokesperson without any actual involvement from the company to gain fake influence and reputation
- × Using 'like bots' to generate over 200,000 artificial likes on other creators' content, manipulating creators into following the account
- × Cheating through blatant bot-farming and spam tactics, racking up 40,000+ followers and 300,000+ likes in less than a month to artificially boost the account's visibility and scam the algorithm
- × Viciously antagonizing other prominent creators who dare to call out the shady behavior, turning the community toxic with personal attacks
We joined Sora for its promise of integrity, fairness, and respect, but these bad actors' actions are eroding all of that. Despite our multiple attempts to report these accounts through official channels, nothing has been done, leaving us with no choice.
As a united community, we reject this imposter and demand:
- Investigate botted accounts like Sora2L immediately and suspend the accounts while the investigation is underway
- Enforce the rules and Terms of Service without favoritism
- Ban botted accounts to restore trust and protect the community from impersonation, harassment, and bot-driven manipulation
- Establish transparent and timely moderation processes to prevent this from happening again
If you're tired of imposters like Sora2L ruining Sora:
